SEI'19 International Workshop
Workshop Goals
The goal for the SEI workshop is to develop a community around Software Engineering Intelligence. Software Engineering intelligence (SEI) comprises a variety of computational intelligence methodologies and approaches to address software engineering problems. The participants of the workshop will work together on creating a research agenda targeting several community building activities. It is a forum to exchange experiences and ideas related to AI for SE and SE for AI. The recent advances in AI are dramatically impacting the way we are building and evolving software systems. Recent work show that several software engineering problems may need to be addressed using a combination of AI techniques such as NLP, machine learning, fuzzy logic, multi-objective search, metaheuristics and clustering algorithms rather than using one AI technique in isolation. The event is open to the wide range of researchers from both the computational intelligence and the software engineering communities. Bringing these communities together has the potential to improve research results, teaching and mentoring, and ultimately industrial practice.
